The Story Behind the Name
The name comes from a real hammer.
My father repaired jewelry, and the tool I remember most from his bench was a small brass hammer- soft enough to shape precious metal without marring it, precise enough for work measured in millimeters. It taught me something I've carried into every hobby and trade since: the right tool, in patient hands, turns careful work into something worth keeping.
Brass Hammer Forge is my bench. Instead of rings and clasps, it's resin printers and paintbrushes, but the standard is the same. Small things, done right.
Who You're Working With
I'm Chris, a U.S. Army veteran, husband, and father based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with over a decade in hands-on technical work. I've been printing, converting, and painting miniatures for years, from full Warhammer 40k armies to Trench Crusade warbands to one-off display pieces.
The Forge runs on professional-grade equipment: high-resolution resin printing for crisp miniature detail, and FDM printing for terrain and larger pieces. Every model is printed, cleaned, cured, inspected, and painted by me personally. Nothing is outsourced, and nothing ships that I wouldn't put on my own shelf.
What I Believe
Honest quotes, firm prices. You'll know the full cost before any work begins. No surprises at pickup.
Your models, treated like mine. Commission pieces are photographed on arrival, handled carefully, and shipped back pinned and insured.
Communication over silence. WIP photos at milestones, real timelines, and a straight answer if something changes.
Respect for the craft and the creators. I only print files I have the rights to. Sculptors deserve to get paid, same as painters.
